Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a popular California coastline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Footage shared online depict the chopper starting to spin above the beach then descending towards the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were transported to a medical facility including two who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three people on the road were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
