Close to Ninety Air Travels Linked to Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from British Airports
A review has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have arrived at and departed from British airports, with some allegedly having onboard women from the UK who allege they were victimized by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Show Pattern of Travel
The travel manifests were part of thousands of legal papers and files released by Epstein’s estate that have been disclosed over the last year. The analysis uncovered 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – encompassing many that were hitherto undisclosed – arriving or departing from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Travel
Unidentified female passengers were listed among the travelers flying to and from the UK. Crucially, 15 of these flights involving the UK happened after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a child.
“This is ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his activities in the country,” remarked US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein victims.
British Victims and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the British victims helped convict Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that individual has not received any contact by British law enforcement, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not been provided with any new information that would support restarting the probe.” They commented, “Should fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of material in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
A bill to make public every document held by the US government in regarding Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to follow through. Hundreds of thousands of papers are anticipated to be made public.
In a related development, a US judge decided last week that the DOJ could publicly release case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
