The outfielder previously helped the Houston Astros claiming the World Series in 2017.
Toronto's Blue Jays reached their first World Series following 1993 by defeating the Seattle Mariners in the decisive Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.
Trailing 3-1, Springer hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning, guiding the sole Canadian team in the majors to a 4-3 win in the best-of-seven series. Next up are the defending champions, who are the defending champions, in the upcoming World Series.
"It's incredible for this squad, Toronto, Canada," Springer stated, an integral part of the Houston Astros team that secured the 2017 World Series. "What an amazing experience."
The veteran has now slugged twenty-three playoff homers, making him third on the list trailing only Manny Ramirez (29) and Jose Altuve (twenty-seven).
"There's probably not another player on planet Earth that I want up in that situation besides Springer with his October magic," noted manager John Schneider.
Seattle's team, despite leading the series 2-0 and 3-2, are still the sole team never to appear in a World Series.
Mariners manager Dan Wilson said "certainly that it's going to sting" following his team's loss at their home ballpark, but praised their performance throughout the year.
"It's a special team. It's a shame that we had to come out on the unsuccessful side of this one," he continued.
The Blue Jays won the championship on each of their earlier trips in the early 90s, and will welcome the Dodgers in the first game on the upcoming Friday.
